Amphibian and fish eggs are laid directly in water, so I'm assuming shells are bad simply because they're not needed? They may prevent certain nutrients from crossing through the outer membrane of the eggs. Also, perhaps amphibian and fish eggs "breathe" through some sort of process on the membrane, which means this process would be blocked if there was a shell.

I guess if an older man was continuely attracted to only 17 year olds they would be wrong but not if it were just one, an older man who acts on attraction to some one under 16 though is very wrong/perverted. I just think that terming people perverts should be keep for the more serious and less grey cases as if you band it about how would you feel if it were ure son/daughter that had those names when they werent actually breaking any laws of a given country or state thus infering they were the same as someone who acted illegally. I suck at everything I do.?

I mean literally everything I've ever tried. I got bullied from been 11 til about 14 which has made me loose confidence in myself, probaby making everything harder as I lost confidence in myself because of them. I've tried sports; I failed. Academically, I was average. I don't have a lot of friends but I don't care too much about that. I love music but I've never sang in my life. If I open my mouth to sing nothing comes out which shows I'd be no good as a singer (Even though thats what I'd love to do more than anything). I've tried Guitar and piano in my music lessons but thats back when I was depressed about the fact I couldn't do anything without someone insulting me so I didn't bother trying. you just need to look at the positive things in your life and think of your achievements no matter how insignificant. that way you will be able to view life in a more positive way. the negative things in your life define you far more than the positive things. try to use this to turn the negatives into positives because if you learn from the negative things then they can end up having a positive outcome.

just be out there, i think one of the best ways to break out of your shell is by doing group things. Go bowling with friends or to the movies, but being in a group lets you get out more, and maybe have that guy you like in a group with you, so you can talk to him, or do things together, use a friend to help hook you up. Not only will it get you to be less shy, but you might get that guy too! And of course guys do. Starting a zoo? advice please?

Working on starting a zoo in Missouri with emphasis on smaller and lesser known animal species. I have a lot of experience with frogs, and have a reference library on exotic animals. I have joined American Association of Zoo Keepers, the Feline Conservation Federation, United Peafowl Association, American Pheasant and Waterfowl Society and am a former Board of Directors member for the Chicago Herpetological Society. I have written a couple articles on frogs for Animal Finders Guide magazine. Missouri has rather liberal animal ownership laws and I am looking for around 20 acres in a rural setting near Kansas City. I would exhibit what Gerald Durrell called "little brown jobs" as opposed to traditional charismatic megafauna, like servals or caracal lynx instead of lions or marmosets or tamarins instead of chimpanzees for example. I would have a killer amphibian display especially since so many species have gone extinct in such a short period of time and frogs are my favorite animals. Suggestions and advice are requested. I am older so not a kid by any means and really want to make this happen. I need some help winning this argument for my kids?

My husband brought two turtles. Shortly afterwards, my youngest son got sick with salmonella. His pediatrician asked if we had any amphibians/reptiles in the house and said to get rid of them. My husband refused to get rid of them and blamed me for contaminating the baby through raw chicken. There is no way to lock the tank and it is too heavy for me to move by myself, so it sits in the living room within easy reach of my now two year old. I tried taping the lid down, but my son rips it off. Usually he just throws stuff in there but today he stuck a rock from the tank in his mouth. I did what I could but he could still get salmonella again. How can I get my selfish husband to get rid of these disease carrying turtles and replace them with something that wont make our kids sick. I know I'm right on this one but he still doesnt want to get rid of his turtles. If I cannot get him to get rid of them would it be wrong of me to go against him and get rid of them myself?

Career working with animals?

The best thing to do to start a career with working with animals is to volunteer at animal shelters, zoos/aquariums, pet shops, etc. you're not "too" young to do so because i'm a sophomore in high school as well and hoping to accomplish my goal into becoming an animal trainer in the near future and i've been doing that for awhile now but you could also volunteer or be hired to become a pet sitter for family, friends, and other people who can't watch/take of their pets while their away or something or you could be fostering animals for shelters and stuff and if you have any pets; spend time with them and train them and stuff and also go to your local library or bookstore and pick up some animal books as well and even do some research on animals online that's another pretty good start.

I have a very low self esteem. I think I'm ugly, I have had acne for 3 years (since freakin 5th grade!), I have a tummy, and I am always bagging on myself. I know I'm not fat. Another possibility is that the router is configured to block certain ports after a set amount of time. you will have to log onto the router or the routers web page to check the settings. Basically your GPA doesn't count for anything because teachers give you a grade if you finish your work. Your SAT score indicates that you are just finishing the work, but not really understanding or thinking about your work. Let's be real. Getting into colleges like Berkeley is EXTREMELY competitive. You need to re-take the SAT or ACT and study for it. Work on your essays for entrance. When you get out of college you will be competing for jobs, so you had better get used to it.

Leave the pH alone unless you have a lot of experience. A lot of the products don't work, or they don't seem to work until suddenly your pH has gone up or down two points and all your fish are dead. Fish cannot handle pH swings. It's a lot of work to manipulate freshwater pH with chemicals. The animals that you list, including the frog, are very likely produced by breeders and are very adaptable to normal pHs. Your pH is fine for a frog. Most gouramis and tetras like softer, more acidic water. Livebearers like the mollies and platies like hard, basic water. So you couldn't adjust it to all of their natural pH anyway. You can ignore this, but rainbow sharks get way too big for a 20 gallon, in my opinion.

Most people your age date people without really knowing them and it ends up being a week or two then it being over, seems like a big waste of time. If you like him then you should tell him you like him, that might bring up his confidence and ask you out.

Is it weird that I like to see peoples true colors?

First of all, its not weird that you like to see people's true colours, it's part of human nature to want to see the real truth behind things, why things work and not to feel as if someone is treating you differently because of who you are at different times. You say that your moods often fluctuate from confidence to low self esteem, and people treat you differently because of this? I have the same problem, and I think it has something to do with how people perceive you, and how you interact with them. Because if you talk to someone in a confident mood, your often happy and if they do have a negative reaction, your able to brush it off (its just the mood your in) and you carry on talking to them, you can keep the conversation flowing, and things become positive and your able to have a more lively conversation. It doesn't matter what you say, you just say it, and somehow you manage to make the conversation even better. Whereas someone with low self esteem is often quite shy and depressed at times. Shy people are often awkward, and find it hard to have a conversation with ease. The reason why people are often mean to you, may be because of your unintentional mood they may feel you are turning on them. People naturally love to be around happy, lively individuals that have interesting things to say. Otherwise they find you "boring" or not worth talking to. It's hard to be a confident person all the time, but if you want to see the friendly side of everyone, you'll quite often discover it with your confident side rather than your shy side. So really, there isn't any "true colours" in my opinion, because it just depends on the mood you are in, and the mood they are in. People like to see confidence, because confidence helps the other feel more at ease and feel as if they can talk to you easier. They often don't like shy people, because shy people are often hard work, and harder to talk to. So really, it seems you need to decide if you want to be a confident person, or allow your mood to fluctuate and affect your social life. Or at least have an outward reflection of happiness, right? Even if you aren't happy, at least let the others around you have the benefits of you being happy, then one day, you might be. Good Luck! :)

How hard is it to build a small pond?

Long story short, I recently moved to the country and live on eight acres. I'm Holly, my son is 21 months old. I am here to see if i'm doing the right thing with my son since i'm a new mommy and sometimes i wonder if i'm doing everything right. So my far my son is very happy and bright. He is talking, walking and is a very happy kid. Sometimes i just wonder if i'm completely screwing up my kid. My confidence isn't very high. I'm tired a lot of the time and i'm at home with him all day while my husband works. He is a fire fighter and sometimes he's gone for days at a time and i'm just at home with just my son. I have lots of friends and nice neighbors i just get so stir-crazy when it's hot outside. The weather is never that nice here because it's always so hot. He gets into everything and can't seem to play by himself. if i leave the room for 2 seconds he starts to cry and will run after me. I feel like i have a puppy following me around 24/7. so I'm overweight, my mom tells me i am and need to diet constantly my ex boyfriend beat me up about my weight my friends tell me I'm not fat but i feel like they have to say that i expect them to say I'm not fat but i am. lately here's the diet my brain came up with. i will sleep til 1 skipping breakfast then when i get up ill eat something small. today it was a doughnut and an orange. then i wont eat again til 630 or 7 for dinner which i don't eat a lot of either. if i eat inbetween lunch and dinner its one piece of fruit and I am guilty after eating it. I have been obsessive about exercise, 30 laps in the pool everyday its warm enough, walking the puppy at least a mile everyday I have it, dance dance revolution every night for at least an hour, ride horses once a week. I've almost made myself throw up after dinner. I'm obsessive about what I'm eating and if its healthy or not. I have no control in my life. And I constantly beat myself up about everything. My friends get annoyed because its so bad. I can't help it. I have no self confidence because all I do is tell myself these nasty thoughts about myself, I'm fat, I'm ugly, why would anyone ever like me, my friends don't deserve me because I'm too fat, anything like that. God is true love and you can't have true love without God. Men and women were MADE to be together and that's just how it is naturally supposed to be. If you're gay for someone you need to look at your life and see how you can fix it because thats not what God made us to be.

Things like bread (in your sandwich) and pasta and potatoes are quite high in calories, even though they are low in fat etc. Try increasing your fresh fruit and vegetable intake, and try to eat mostly unprocessed foods. If you can, carry a snacking bag with something like carrot, cucumber, capsicum, celery pieces, so you have a snack when you want one, without resorting to something less healthy.

Sorry you can't grow them any quicker but three weeks will be good amount of time to grow back a little. You should try to buy an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner that matches as close as possible and just kinda poke the color into your eyebrows. Don't draw them on they will look really fake just kinda feather the color in so they look fuller until they grow back all the way. I have over plucked MANY a times.. It's sucks.

What type of small non-toxic stickers can I use to tag Frogs with for Research?

I am working on a research project at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in New York City for school. The refuge wont let me use any long term tagging methods or complicated injections etc. so I proposed the use of simple small circular(square, whatever) numbered stickers to tag the Grey Treefrogs I am studying. However Amphibian skin is very permeable and I need to find non-toxic stickers to tag them with. Any suggestions? Remember I can always cut them out, I just need to find a non-toxic substance. Therefore every allele must express that disease in order for that organism to have that disease; otherwise it is merely a carrier. This reason is oftentimes why men are new suceptable to sex-related disease than men. A man only has one x chromosome. If the disease is in the x chromosome a man only has one x chromosome and must express the gene from that chromosome and therefore the Disease. Women have a choice. The more copies of a Gene the less likely that all of those genes will express the gene and therefore the organism will be heterozygous for that trait and will not express it. Can fish live in water made specifically for turtles in an outdoor pond?

I just got done digging a 100-130 gallon hole in my backyard for my two red eared slider turtles. Today I am going shopping for the liner and other things I need for the pond. I know RES turtles eat fish so I want to put guppies and aquatic snails in the pond for my turtles to chase around and eat. Tips for singing in front of people?

I've never sung in front of a crowd before, but everyone says I'm a good singer. But then my brother says I'm rubbish. So I decided to sing in a performance of School of Rock that we are doing in our music class. I don't know why I did it, I think I wanted to boost my confidence and see if I could really sing. I'm singing with other people but I have my own parts. I'm scared that I will be rubbish and of what people will think of me. One time a popular girl I was texting with said she literally gagged because she was laughing so hard at one of my jokes. I'm pretty unpopular, and she's nice and accepts everybody though. Anyhoo I'm shy in real life and even through texting. Dieting over the summer?

I'm been trying to lose 20 pounds for the pass few years. My doctor has been telling me I've been at an unhealthy weight range for a while. I'm 15, 125 pounds and 5'1. My self estem has dealt with many blows, leaving me, quiet and alone. Please, is there anything I can do over the summer, to lose 20 pounds and gain my confidence ? Should Geckos be considered as Domesticated Reptiles? They have live along side us for thousands if not millions of years than any other reptile has ever had, I do understand that reptiles are not anything like mammals or birds but mammals and birds weren't the only animals domesticated by us, we have domesticated animals like fish and others, so it is possible for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates to be domesticated to? but from what i've read, researched, and seen on many documentaries about geckos is that they have lived along side us for years and years and even more years to come so i'm just wondering should we consider geckos as domesticated reptiles? i'm aware that these animals still have their "wild" instincts and are still wild animals that could still be found in the wild to this day but haven't you heard of species like the "House Gecko" these lizards live along side us for years and so has many other species of gecko but what do you think should we consider these reptiles as domesticated or not? Okay, so I like a guy in the year above me at my school. We have so much in common and he is a genuinley nice guy (so i've heard). So when we're at school, although we dont personally know eachother and havent really talked much, he always stares at me and has smiled at me a few times before. I see him alot around school, and everytime i do hes staring at me i dont know why he does it but when i look at him he doesnt like turn away, weird. recently he's been walking out the same way of school as i do, and when he sees me he turns around and looks at me then turns back around i dont know what any of this means or even if it means anything at all. This is probley irrelivant but i was walking by the football courts at lunch and he was walking up from the courts, and he looked at me then walked straight by me and when he was like a bit away from me i heard some guy shout my name, so i turn around and hes looking at me then turns back around. wtf? im really confused because i have no confidence in talking to him, but every day i feel like i like him even more and i really need to do something about it:/ I dont know what to do, none of my friends seem to care enough to help me, and im out of ideas because i dont want to embarras myself or anything, what should i do? does anyone know what all the staring is about? thanks, best answer 10ps
