Dorm pet ideas? (details inside)?

So this is totally not allowed but my roommates and I managed to hide a cat in our dorm room for most of the last semester. Now the cat is living with a friend, probably for good so I won't have a pet at the dorms next fall. I want a pet that doesn't need to much space, and that my other roommates will like. I thought about getting another cat, but one of my roommates really doesn't want a cat. I have a few fish, but they're boring. I was thinking of getting a rabbit or chinchilla but don't know how much space they need. I want something cute and fuzzy, but not gerbils cuz I had a bunch of gerbils and they all just attacked each other and bite a lot. Any better ideas for a dorm pet? Also I really like reptiles and amphibians (I've had a ton of pets) so I was thinking a frog or a gecko? Thanks for the help!
