Creating a terrarium for a child?

My son is very interested in reptiles and amphibians. He wants a terrarium of his own for his birthday. I'm looking to put a few different things in it....plants,turtles,lizards,frogs,fish,… crabs. Which of these can live peacefully together? any other helpful tips? thanks
